The second Walk To End Alzheimer’s Leadership Summit is in the books. Nearly 50 people joined us at the Comfort Inn & Suites Airport in North Syracuse for a day of learning and sharing.

Chapter staff and Walk volunteers presented programs on beginning and advanced fundraising, advocacy, volunteering, corporate sponsorships and team mentoring.

An interactive brainstorming session at lunch focused on “wraparound events,” or events that Walkers could conduct to boost their fundraising. Walkers from Canton talked about their spaghetti dinners, while others discussed golf tournaments and other events.

The day wrapped up with a “mini” Walk To End Alzheimer’s including a sneak preview of the new ceremonies and activities coming to all of our Walks in 2012!
